Watch: Do you know about this Pikachu-themed train in Japan?

Trust the Japanese to pay tribute to their iconic characters in a way that only they can. Pokémon is something that has defined Japanese culture over the years. Do you know there is a special Pikachu-themed train?

Billy Biehl, a travel blogger, shared a video of the bright-yellow train, which operates from Ichinoseki to Kesennuma. If you are familiar with Pokémon, you must know that the most popular Pokémon is called Pikachu. A yellow, mouse-like creature with electrical abilities, Pikachu serves as the mascot of the Pokémon franchise.

Biehl showed how on the way to finding your train track, everything is adorned with Pikachus. Once you board the train, you see that everything inside is Pikachu-themed and the seats are lined with Poké Balls. There is even a Pikachu cabin with a massive Pikachu soft toy in the centre and multiple smaller ones lying on the couches.

“I hope to take this train one day! Thank you for sharing!!” commented an Instagram user. “I like pikachu, but that is too much,” another said. “Dang, one more thing for me to do in Japan,” wrote another user.

Pikachu is widely considered to be the most popular Pokémon species mainly due to its appearance in the Pokémon anime television series as the companion of protagonist Ash Ketchum.
