OnePlus on Wednesday introduced its latest special edition smartphone — OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition, which costs Rs 4,000 more than the regular edition and comes with a unique gift box with Genshin Impact-themed accessories. Priced at Rs 49,999, the latest popular game-themed OnePlus smartphone will be available for purchase starting March 19.
According to OnePlus, the smartphone is optimised for Genshin Impact, where, it can offer HyperHDR gameplay for up to 3 hours with 59.5fps, and the phone can launch the game in 15 seconds and also offers fast in-game travel speed.
The hardware of the OnePlus 12R (review) Genshin Impact Edition is derived from the regular version with several changes in the look and feel of the device. The theme of the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition revolves around the “Keqing,” one of the travellers (main character) in the game with an electro-violet colourway across the package.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256 GB storage, based on UFS 3.1 technology. The smartphone includes a 5,500 mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging via the USB-C port. It also offers a stereo speaker setup, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, a triple camera setup with a 50 MP primary shooter, and there is also aqua touch support.
The OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition also offers a unique unboxing experience, where, it includes a lot of accessories, including a custom case, custom SIM “Lightning Stiletto” ejector pin, custom Keqing pins, 100W “Glinted Lightning” themed charger brick, T-shaped “Glinted Lightning” charging cable, Keqing-Themed phone stand, and Keqing-themed Chibi sticker pack. It also includes a badge and a Kaqing-themed acrylic stand ornament.
The box itself is constructed with the Genshin Impact theme, which can help users showcase the device and its content.

Coming to the design of the phone itself, the back panel is made using AG glass, which has hints of Keqing’s flowing clothes and her lightning stiletto. Besides, OnePlus has also used a new electro-etching process to engrave the word Keqing at the top of the phone, which can project the same on most surfaces. The phone also uses Keqing’s voice in alarm, message, and ringtone. Of course, these can be modified if required.
Just like the regular OnePlus 12R, the Genshin Impact Edition also comes with a metal frame and alert slider, and it ships with custom OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14 with a Keqing-themed icon pack along. Other elements like charging animation, power on animation, and fingerprint unlock animation have also been modified to suit the theme of the smartphone.
