Floods in the district have damaged more than 130 roads and 150 pipelines. The district administration claimed that the repair work is going on and should be completed soon.
According to the water supply department, they submitted a report to the district administration that a total of 173 pipelines which include the sewer pipelines and water supply lines were damaged.
The Public Works Department (Bridges and Roads) reported damage to 24 roads in the district.
Apart from this the Executive Engineer of Punjab Mandi Board had submitted a report regarding damage of 120 roads in the district. Punjab Mandi Board makes the link roads in rural areas.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Aashika Jain said that the funds have been issued and it is their priority to complete the repair work.
“All the departments have submitted the reports of loss of property, the work is going on at war footing,” she added.
