Don’t listen to Bhujbal and deny quota: Jarange to govt

Maratha activist Manoj Jarange Patil on Tuesday urged the state government not to listen to OBC leader and Cabinet Minister Chhagan Bhujbal and deny reservation to the community.

Patil, who was admitted to a hospital on Monday evening after he fell sick while addressing a rally in Maharashtra’s Dharashiv, got discharged and addressed at least three rallies in Beed district on Tuesday.

‘”I appeal to the Maratha community to maintain peace…The community is going to get reservation. I also want to urge the state government not to listen to him (Bhujbal) and deny reservation to the community. If the government pays heed to what he says, it will face backlash from the Maratha community in future,” said Jarange-Patil while addressing a rally in Beed.
“We should not do anything to disrupt peace in the state…We will see him (Bhujbal) after December 24,” he said.

Before being discharged from hospital, Jarange-Patil told reporters, “My health is not important, reservation for the poor belonging to the Maratha community is. If I keep thinking about my health, the community will be affected. We should not worry about our lives….All rallies will be held as scheduled.”

Vijay Tarak, a close associate of Jarange-Patil, said at least three rallies were scheduled for Tuesday.

Festive offer

Tarak said Jarange-Pati’s health deteriorated further on Tuesday evening and that he will be admitted to hospital again.
